GOLF PRACTICE TEE UPDATE

We have given our golf practice tee every opportunity to rebound this spring from the record cold winter of 2013/14.  Many courses in the region have lost significant amounts of warm season grass, including some courses that have lost all of their fairways.  For those unaware, our practice range tee is topped with Bermuda grass, which is native to the deep south.  This “warm season” grass was selected because it is much more durable and can withstand the demands of a high traffic golf practice tee, but now we have found that it cannot stand really harsh winter temperatures.  So, we have approved the reseeding of the golf practice range tee and we hope to have excellent turf once again by the end of July.

Fortunately for us, this is the only area of our golf course that has seen any damage and the remainder of the facility is in pristine condition.  Thanks for your understanding and patience.
